No error whatsoever.
The options-page in the options-menu looks normal and seems to be working ok. This means I don’t get any errors when I change anything and save it.
The errors only appear on the RootsPersona-page in the tools-menu.

Hmm, I was reading above “Done that, but no error report while activating/deactivating”. The thing is, if the options got initialized but the tables weren’t created, but the deactivating/activating won’t trigger a re-attempt for the table creation. Need to deactivate, delete, reinstall, activate. THEN hopefully we can catch an error somewhere.

I have notcied another place logs are being written to by the way – php/logs

However the @ini_set( ‘display_errors’, 1 ) line should force the errors to go to the screen.

Nope, that does not do it for me. My problem is apperently that no tables are made in the MySQL database.

Sorry you are having problems. This one has me boggled, I will be putting some diagnostics inth version out next week.

According to a thread on the WordPress forum, someone else had the same issue::

I was eventually able to reload the Gedcom file by making the following changes:

1. Opened the file plugin-install.php in the \wordpress\wp-admin\includes
2. located the line $request = wp_remote_post(‘http://api.wordpress.org/plugins/info/1.0/’, array( ‘timeout’ => 15, ‘body’ => array(‘action’ => $action, ‘request’ => serialize($args))) );
3. Replaced ‘timeout’ => 15 by ‘timeout’ => 60.

Haven’t heard from you anymore. I a stil trying to install rootspersona, but still getting an error with the database

OK, it turns out you can’t set the debug constants in multiple places (they are constants) so the debug flag only works if you comment out the WP_DEBUG flag in wp-config.php.
